What is the Great Focus

Reading the title of this article, one might ask if it wouldn't be better "Who is the Great Focus" adding, with good reason: "What" might give the erroneous idea that the Great Focus is a thing. However, if the title was "Who is the Great Focus" someone might object arguing that "who" refers to "a person". Let us leave this question to the reader's consideration and move on without further ado to the reason that led us to write this article. The purpose is to try to clarify a concept that has caused some confusion and disagreement among many people.

The first step in clarifying the issue is to disassociate Great Focus from a concept common among many people, mainly religious – of various inclinations and preferences. We refer to the notion of God. In the opinion of almost all of them, God, among other things, created humanity. The most reasonable answer would be to affirm that it was humanity that created God, with all its virtues and shortcomings, with the same human feelings, negative and positive. Furthermore, this God, considered omniscient, is very distracted, because it is necessary to beg for his help so that he realizes that someone is in difficulty. This God is definitely an invention made by human beings. As Arthur C. Clarke said, "It may be that our role on this planet is not to worship God but to create him". 

Yet, one true idea shared by most religions, is that this religious God is the creator of all that exists. In order for this truth to be properly understood, spread, and myths eliminated, Christian Rationalism has abandoned the term God and introduced the concept of Great Focus.

In the terminology of this spiritualistic philosophy, Great Focus, Creative Force and Universal Intelligence (or Intelligent Principle) are synonyms.

Great Focus to indicate the origin of astral light that penetrates all bodies, material or fluidic, that exist in the Universe, and of the phenomena that occur there, including life.

Creative Force to emphasize the power with which it created everything in the Universe, and to keep it under the empire of laws that govern and transform it.

Universal Intelligence to make clear that the laws that govern the phenomena that occur in the Universe are wise, infallible and definitive. They do not need to be changed, because they were emanated with perfection.

Therefore it is easy to understand that Great Focus is simultaneously the origin, the creator and legislator of the Universe, with a capital U. We have come from the Great Focus and to the Great Focus we will return as a consequence of evolutionary laws to which everything is eternally subordinated.

From this last statement we should not confuse ourselves and imagine that by coming from the Great Focus we are outside, disconnecting ourselves from the Creative Force. Nothing is outside of the Universal Intelligence for it is the Universe itself. The idea of "outside" the Universe has no meaning. Where would this "outside" be?

If so, what we should mean by "coming from the Great Focus"? Surely, as has been said, it makes no sense to think of separation. What we must understand is that there has been an individualization of the Force that emanated from the Great Focus. The Force becomes, so to speak, different from all the others and follows a long way to, later on, be permeated with the source itself.

Based on what has been exposed, one can conclude that the Great Focus is the Universe.
