The importance of thought

By Luiz de Mattos
Doctrination - Public Reunion

Thought is everything in life. Success or failure is the result of thinking. Thinking also brings us happiness or unhappiness, good health or illness.

Christian Rationalism, teaches that thinking is a force imbued with constructive or destructive power, a permanent generator of good health and diseases. Let us not fool ourselves; most diseases have a psychic origin and are psychically nourished by the individual’s morbid thought, until they become organic illnesses.

Healthy thoughts are vibrations transmitted by the spirit to the physical body constituting the most effective means of cure.

It is essential, therefore, to think good thoughts, imagining that everything will turn out well and proceed so that they really will turn out well.

Rash decisions usually achieve poor results. Human actions must be analyzed and reflected upon in order to succeed.

Christian Rationalism teaches us that even trivial matters and insignificant decisions should always be preceded by analytical reasoning before any action is taken.

Unsolvable problems do not exist no matter how difficult they may seem. What is necessary is to seek a solution calmly, courageously and without losing one’s self-confidence and ability to find the answer.

Hence, reason in action, clear analysis, insight and above all and at all times, much courage and fortitude to meet the challenge of difficult situations.

When reason is our shield against weakness and vice we have nothing to fear.

Do not think evil thoughts; have no fears. We must be careful; careful with vices and weak thoughts which are the most insidious enemies of health and successful endeavor. Our conscience should be the compass orienting our actions and thoughts, so that under no circumstances will we ever stray from the right path.
