Weak will is a path to obsession

by CR (151)

In previous texts, the paths that lead to obsession are clearly indicated. They are psychic disorders caused by improper use of free will, ill-guided will, sexual excesses, lack of control in everyday life, unrestrained desires, inordinate ambition and inflexible temperament.

By misusing free will, a human being goes against the natural laws that establish correct, safe and appropriate standards of living. Free will assures everyone the right to conduct themselves with freedom of choice and independence of action, appropriate to all graced with a capacity to reason in a sensible way. But it also makes human beings responsible for all their actions.

With reasoning well exercised in solving the problems that constantly present themselves, keeping in mind the the importance of honesty, everyone can remain within the rules of good conduct, thus making proper use of free will.

Those who stray from this path do so because they want to, because they let themselves be weakened, and the weakening of the will leads to the attraction of spirits of the inferior astral, which sooner or later end up causing spiritual obsession.

An ill-guided will derives from indolence, indifference and neglect of the serious things in life. Indolents are always waiting for others to do what they themselves should do. They dislike schedules and abhor discipline. They are enemies of work and order and do nothing for progress.

This individual can therefore be classified as a parasite. While the world demands activity, dynamism and action, the indolent observes what goes on without actively participating in the movement that claims his presence.
