Character: a precious asset of the spirit

by CR (116)

Character is one of the richest and most precious assets of the spirit, however, by no means easy to build. On the contrary, it requires prolonged periods of meditation in numerous reincarnations, during which the conclusions mature under the harsh test of time and experience.

Only after countless disappointments and suffering many grievances, injustices and ingratitude, does the individual measure, in the depths of his spiritual nature, the extent of the human miseries against which he revolts. Appalled and nauseated with these lows and degradation, the individual feels disgusted by them.

Thus, from repugnance to repugnance and having known and experienced suffering, the spirit is gradually freed from inferior actions to place itself, by conviction derived from enlightenment, in the rigid lines of a model conduct.

There is no doubt that character must be built with effort during many reincarnations and to help in the growth of this attribute, it's also important that the spirit developa its intelligence in any field of activity, be it in the literary and scientific circles, or in factories, business, agriculture, schools, shops, or in the home.

Any honest working environment provides constant opportunities for the delopment of intelligence and character improvement and refinement, always following a normal progression at a normal pace, in which there are no radical transformations.

However, a human being will never accomplish anything without effort good will and, above all, without an enlightened conscience allied to the notion of duty and the interest in fulfilling it.
