The discipline of thought, which is an essential practice for everyone, must be even more so for mediums. Even though well-meaning in many cases, mediums may become victims of traps set by the Inferior Astral and engage in irrational behaviour with serious consequences.
Mediums need to know how to select their acquaintances carefully and avoid inappropriate conversations. Too many worries and overwork are not recommended. Mediums must take care of themselves physically and spiritually, to maintain their ability to react against discouragement and despondency.
Work, in addition to being a strong stimulus for the physical body, is the most valuable pastime for the spirit, whose attention must be constantly focused on useful and honest things.
There is no doubt that everyone needs rest, a break and recreation at proper hours. However, one should never indulge in idleness, which is always harmful, especially in the case of mediums.
