We have previously mentioned that material wealth doesn't exactly belong to any individual, but to the world, given the fact that every physical life on this Planet is transitory. All the material possessions are in fact just lent to us during each reincarnation and stay behind when we depart. That's why spiritual values should reign over self-interest and worldly things.
The spirit of renunciation, self-denial, abnegation, sacrifice and human solidarity is thus the result of a greater understanding of life that fraternally brings human beings closer together, as identical particles of a single Whole, which is the Universal Intelligence.
Let us not confuse, however, noble spiritual qualities with lack of interest for worldly things, as a result of the disappointments and disillusionments that makes people apathetic, skeptical, lonely, bohemian, exotic, or fanatical sectarians.
The enlightened, strong individual never allows himself to be let down by disappointments and disillusions. He understands the causes of human weakness and malice, does not believe in perfection, which he knows does not exist, and accepts events with a rational understanding of them.
This is the type of individual who is truthful, loyal, honest, and well balanced. He never forgets, even in times of danger, that his moral integrity should prevail above all considerations and interests, and does not fear the consequences of an inflexible stand against corruption.
