Dictionaries don't exactly define the expression Power of Conception, but just the word itself. They say that Conception means "the creation of something in the mind; is the forming of an idea for something in your mind; the act of conceiving; something that is conceived; origination; beginning; a design; a plan."
Encyclopedia Britannica on the other hand, tell us that the Power of Conception "is sometimes used as a synonym for imagination, especially in the sense of the power of conceiving and giving artistic form to that which is not existent, known, or experienced."
As for Christian Rationalism, this philosophy and spiritualistic science believes that inherent in the power of conception are ingenuity, creative thought, and the resourceful accomplishing power of change and improvement.
The power of conception is essentially constructive. It is the prime mover of the gradual role in the arts, as well as in science and literature.
Furthermore, altruism, self-denial and unselfishness, as well as material progress, are the product of the power of conception because it is often exercised having in mind the welfare of humanity as a whole.
In short, the Power of Conception is one of the attributes of the spirit, which is an essential constituent of the Universal Intelligence, the only creative power in the Universe.
