Those who want to learn about the meaning of life, should consider studying spirituality, not as a religion or a new-age doctrine but as a science and philosophy.
There is out there a serious work of research and enlightenment, capable of widening your outlook about your life and why are you living in this physical world. Studies that are like a panoramic view which place before your eyes new perspectives that you may have never dreamed of. These perspectives may help you in setting a new direction, a new route to your life and cause it to change, step by step, for the better.
Most people, especially the ones who believe that life doesn't end with physical death, will not deny that everyone needs to follow a pattern of behaviour which should be identified with an educational system based on high moral principles. Moral behaviour is a pattern of conduct subject to guidelines which represent the highest expression of spirituality, capable of serving as a standard and example in the environment where people live.
Everyone should strive to carry out their duty, focusing their attention, their eyes, their soul, on the main goal of reincarnation, which is spiritual evolution, regardless of whether or not other people are also carrying out their duty.
The general tendency of the spirit (soul), after reincarnation, is to live for the sake of matter alone. This, obviously, will happen until the spirit reaches, through hardships and difficult experiences during many incarnations, a certain awareness of life which all will attain, sooner or later, through the growth of spirituality.
